Inter could well look to replace Lautaro Martinez with Paulo Dybala in attack this summer, but doing so would be risky.

This according to today’s print edition of Turin-based newspaper Tuttosport, who caution against allowing Martinez to leave in the event that Dybala is signed.

Inter are closely following Dybala’s situation and considering a swoop for the Argentine on a free transfer now that it is clear that he would be available.

It’s not out of the question that Martinez would make way, with the club potentially seeing Dybala’s arrival softening the blow of his departure or even replacing him outright should a big club come calling with a significant offer for him.

However, Tuttosport note that, even though Martinez’s form this campaign has not always been his best, coach Simone Inzaghi has always kept faith in him, something Antonio Conte had also done while in charge.

Martinez’s qualities have always been recognized, with Nerazzurri legend Diego Milito having regarded him highly as early as his time at Racing Club, and he would not be without suitors among top clubs and coaches if he were available during the summer.

For Tuttosport, Inter should think very carefully about whether they would be willing to let a player of Martinez’s quality and potential go even if Dybala were to arrive.
