Inter striker Lautaro Martinez has returned to training after testing negative for COVID-19 earlier today.

This according to Italian broadcaster Sky Sport Italia, who report that the 24-year-old has fully recovered from the virus and is back in training ahead of next Sunday’s Serie A clash with Juventus.

Martinez had tested positive for COVID last week, forcing him to withdraw from the Argentine national team squad for their World Cup qualifiers against Venezuela and Ecuador during the break.

The striker underwent a mandatory seven-day period of self-isolation after testing positive for the virus, but he was given the swab to determine whether he had recovered and has been cleared to make his return to training.

It does not look to be the case that the Argentine has experienced any symptoms from the virus, while teammate Matias Vecino is still in self-isolation after having also tested positive for the virus earlier last week.
