Inter are set to step up their pursuit of Empoli midfielder Kristjan Asllani during the summer transfer window.

This according to today’s print edition of Turin-based newspaper Tuttosport, who report that the 20-year-old is one of the Nerazzurri’s major midfield targets ahead of next season.

Inter are considering a major midfield reshuffle during the summer, with the likes of Arturo Vidal and Matias Vecino set to leave the club and a deputy for Marcelo Brozovic a priority.

Roma duo Jordan Veretout and Gonzalo Villar are considerations, as is Lille midfielder Xeka who will be available on a free transfer, though their priority is likely to be in signing a younger player.

Lucien Agoume could return from his loan spell at Brest, while Lecce midfielder Morten Hjulmand has also caught Inter’s attention, but their main priority looks to be Asllani based on his recent form for Empoli, having taken over in the starting eleven from Samuele Ricci to good effect.
