Serie B side Monza are ready to make an offer worth €10 million to sign Stefano Sensi from Inter this summer in the event that they are promoted to the top flight.

This according to Italian news outlet Serie B News, via FCInter1908, who report that the Lombard club are eyeing up a move for the 26-year-old as the right player to strengthen for Serie A should they manage to be promoted.

Monza are currently third in the Serie B table, but they are locked in a close race with all of the teams in the top places in with a realistic chance of reaching either the automatic promotion places or the playoff places.

If the club are promoted then they will want to make a signing of significant quality as a statement of intent to bring their squad up to the right level for the top flight.

Sensi, currently on loan with Sampdoria, has been identified as a player with the kind of attributes who they would need to make the step up, although it remains to be seen if the Nerazzurri would be ready to accept their bid.
