Inter midfielder Hakan Calhanoglu is ready to completely give his attention to the decisive last couple of months of the season with the Nerazzurri.

Speaking in a press conference with the Turkish national team, as reported by FCInterNews, the 28-year-old emphasized that he will be wholly committed to doing everything in the Scudetto race and the Coppa Italia.

Calhanoglu is on international duty as a number of Nerazzurri players are, having seen his Turkey national side eliminated from World Cup qualification by Portugal.

Now, the midfielder and his teammates will face Italy tomorrow, including Inter teammates Nicolo Barella and Alessandro Bastoni, in a friendly, and then he will return to training with the Nerazzurri.

Once back, Calhanoglu plans to focus entirely on working to prepare for the match against Juventus on Sunday and then take the rest of the campaign one match at a time as the Nerazzurri aim to make up the gap on AC Milan at the top of the table.

“When I return to Italy I must focus on my club and the league,” he said, “as soon as I return we’ll face Juventus, Milan are at the top of the table but we have a game in hand.”

“I hope that when we come back we will be able to start winning again and get back to the top of the table,” he added.
