Inter are interested in signing Ajax forward Sebastian Haller during the summer transfer window, but only in the event that they miss out on Gianluca Scamacca from Sassuolo.

This according to Italian news outlet Calciomercato.com, who report that the Nerazzurri are admirers of the Ivorian, but that they have not made contact with Ajax about signing him and that they consider Scamacca their main target.

Haller has been having a blistering season with the Dutch champions, and he looks to have the kind of profile that the Nerazzurri are looking for as a long-term replacement for Edin Dzeko.

The Nerazzurri are consequently keeping an eye on his situation and considering him as a possible target, but so far their interest has not materialized as anything as concrete.

Inter are still working to try and bring Scamacca in over the summer, but given the fact that the Neroverdi will not allow him to leave for cheap, they have lined up Haller as an alternative.
