Italian journalist Fabrizio Biasin feels that while Inter’s Serie A clash with Juventus is not guaranteed to settle the destination of the Serie A title, a loss would be very damaging.

Writing in his column for Italian news outlet TuttoMercatoWeb, Biasin outlined the significance of the head-to-head clash, suggesting that the key will be not to lose.

Inter can keep pace at the top of the table and also put distance between themselves and the Bianconeri should they win on Sunday, though even a draw could be seen as a decent given the difficulty of the fixture and the remaining matches.

A loss, however, would see them go behind the Bianconeri in the table, albeit having a game in hand, and risk falling even further behind AC Milan and Napoli.

For this reason, Biasin feels that the Nerazzurri would be handed a major blow to their title hopes were they to fail to take even a point from Turin this weekend.

“It’s reasonable to think that Juve against Inter won’t be an absolutely decisive match,” he writes, “but it’s a big possibility that the hopes in the Scudetto race will run out of steam for the loser (above all it’s a psychological question).”

He also writes “That Dybala is close to leaving home – Juve – is confimred, but it would be quite simplistic to think that this means  he won’t play at his best in the remaining games.”
