Inter could decide to sell striker Lautaro Martinez in the summer and bring in Sassuolo’s Gianluca Scamacca as his replacement.

This according to today’s print edition of Turin-based newspaper Tuttosport, who report that the 23-year-old is the priority target to reinforce the attack as the Nerazzurri begin to consider selling Martinez.

Martinez could be sold in the summer in order to fund the other transfer business at the Nerazzurri, along with the savings on wages from the departures of Alexis Sanchez, Arturo Vidal, and Matias Vecino.

Should the Argentine be sold, the Nerazzurri would move quickly to bring in Scamacca as his replacement, also aiming to sign Paulo Dybala on a free transfer to further bolster their attacking options.

The plan for Scamacca would be to initially have the 23-year-old play as the understudy to Edin Dzeko in the centre-forward role before becoming the first-choice option in the long term.
