Inter midfielder Marcelo Brozovic is very close to making a full return to training with the rest of the squad and should do so today or tomorrow at the latest.

This according to today’s print edition of Rome-based newspaper Corriere dello Sport, who report that the Croat will almost certainly be fully fit for Sunday’s clash with Juventus, while Stefan de Vrij is a little further behind in his recovery.

The club have seen little sense in rushing Brozovic back to full training and risking any further problems given the timeline of his recovery from a calf injury over the international break.

Now, with teammates starting to filter back into training from international duty, the 29-year-old is getting closer and closer, however, and should be back in training soon.

De Vrij, meanwhile, is not quite as close to a full recovery as Brozovic is, having suffered a somewhat more serious calf injury.
