Former Inter manager Andrea Stramaccioni has reiterated the fact that Inter are the defending champions and says that Paulo Dybala can play in a 3-5-2, according to a report in the Italian media today.

Speaking during an interview with Tuttosport, Andrea Stramaccioni explained that Inter must not play without fear when they face Juventus on Sunday as they are the defending champions of Italy.

“Inter must avoid playing with fear, thinking first of not losing. Inter are strong, in my opinion, the strongest. They must go to Turin to prove it. It won’t be easy but they are the Champions of Italy.”

Inter have not won a game against Juventus in Turin since 2012 when Andrea Stramaccioni was in charge of the team. He said his primary tactic was to attack Juventus and let that act as a defence.

“It was a great victory, against Antonio Conte’s record-breaking Juve, in the middle of their winning and apparently unbeatable cycle. I decided to do what I had not yet seen anyone do against that Juventus, that is to defend by attacking.

“We played with three real strikers, Milito, Palacio and Cassano. Three great champions who together with the rest of the team created a great performance.”

Andrea Stramaccioni then offered a thought on multiple different players at Inter or who are linked to Inter. On Juventus forward Paulo Dybala, he suggested that the Argentine can fit into the existing system at Inter.

“The 3-5-2 is the formation that he played in Palermo, where half of Italy were falling in love with him. His quality is not in question.”

Another Argentine striker that he mentioned was Lautaro Martinez who he thinks must make a difference for Inter now.

“An incredible player who is hungry and wants to win, now it’s time to make a difference.”
