Croatian midfielder Marcelo Brozovic is expected to start for Inter against Juventus after recovering from his calf injury, according to a report in the Italian media today.

As has been reported by Corriere dello Sport today, Marcelo Brozovic trained with the ball this week, made changes of direction and sprinted without feeling any discomfort in his calf.

The midfielder has missed Inter’s two most recent Serie A games due to the injury that he picked up in the Champions League against Liverpool at Anfield.

He is expected to join in even more with his teammates in training on Thursday and then attempt an entire session on Friday. That gives two days to get him as close to full fitness as possible for the match against the Bianconeri on Sunday.

It is very important for Simone Inzaghi given Arturo Vidal and Matias Vecino are not at full fitness, meaning Roberto Gagliardini would need to play a role in midfield.
