Inter midfielder Hakan Calhanoglu has replaced Burak Yilmaz as the captain of the Turkish national team, and he is honoured and excited to lead the team into the future.
The 28-year-old posted a message on his Instagram account looking to the challenges ahead, and even though they have failed to qualify for this year’s edition of the World Cup, there will be plenty more opportunities for the team to shine with the Nerazzurri man leading them.
Calhanoglu’s message reads, “We are making a fresh start and we believe that we’ll accomplish great things in the end with the help of your support.”
