Inter are the likely destination for Antonio Conte should he leave Tottenham Hotspur and return to Italy, according to a report in the Italian media.
As has been reported by La Gazzetta dello Sport, Antonio Conte is contracted to Tottenham Hotspur in the Premier League until 2023 but it does not appear to be a very happy relationship at that club at the moment.
The prospect of him leaving the club at the end of this season is not unlikely and if he does decide he wants to return to Italy, Inter are certainly the most likely destination.
After Inter’s poor run of form, many are concerned that Simone Inzaghi may not be up to the job of delivering the big trophies when it matters.
The main issue with Antonio Conte returning to the club he left after the winning the title last season is that he costs a lot more than the current manager. His current wage is €12 million per season, Simone Inzaghi’s is €4 million.
