Inter President Steven Zhang has decided that he should have a more hands-on role at the club and will be in the stands when Inter take on Juventus on Sunday night, according to a report in the Italian print media.

As has been reported by La Gazzetta dello Sport today, the Inter President travelled from China to Milan to be with the club for the run-up to the Supercoppa Italiana final which was the first trophy of the season.

He stayed in Italy for the negotiation of a new bond to help secure the club’s finances, but then he never left. It was expected that he would then return to China and run the club from afar.

He has decided that he should be more present and close to the team. It also means he can have more regular in-person chats with Simone Inzaghi, as he did last week.

Just like he was when Inter travelled to face Liverpool at Anfield, Steven Zhang will be in the stands at the Allianz Stadium on Sunday.
