Inter youngster Niccolo Squizzato has said that if he does not make it as a successful player then it will be because of his own wrongdoings rather than anyone else, according to a report in the Italian media today.

Speaking during an interview with FCInternews, the young midfielder who is now on loan at Juve Stabia displayed an honourable attitude when asked if he is worried about becoming another Inter Primavera player that does not have a successful career.

“If I don’t make it, then I’ll have done something wrong, so I’ll have to take my responsibilities. But I am aware of my quality and the only thing I have to be able to do now is to be physically well. The rest will come by itself.”

When asked which player at Inter gave him the best advice when he was around the first time, Niccolo Squizzato said it was Chilean forward Alexis Sanchez.

“Sanchez, in training, always told me that for a director like me it is essential to always think first and know what to do before the ball even arrives.”

Sticking with current Inter senior players, Niccolo Squizzato said that Marcelo Brozovic was the player that impressed him the most when he trained with the first team.

“Being a midfielder, I’d say Brozovic: for personality and intensity, but above all because with the ball at his feet he never makes a mistake and always knows what to do first.

“I am very pleased to be compared with players of this kind, but personally I see myself more as a Brozovic than a Lampard. Even if I would like to steal a lot from Lampard, like the ability to score which I lack a little.”

Unfortuantely for Niccolo Squizzato his season at Juve Stabia has not gone to plan. He has suffered with injuries and fitness issues which means that his playing time has been limited.

“The season is not going as I hoped, unfortunately, I had a lot of physical problems and I never managed to get into condition.

“My short-term goal is to do next year what I haven’t been able to do this year: find continuity and play 30 games. My dream, on the other hand, is to play one day in a team with my brother, who is growing slowly. Obviously in Serie A.”
