Inter captain Samir Handanovic is hoping that he can go against the trend of his away matches against Juventus and get a vital win in the context of the team’s season tomorrow.

This is highlighted in today’s print edition of Rome-based newspaper Corriere dello Sport, who note that the 37-year-old has not managed to be on the winning side at the Allianz Stadium since 2012.

Handanovic won away to the Bianconeri in his very first attempt with Inter, taking three points away from Turin in their clash during the 2012-13 season.

However, if he thought that this would be a good omen for future matches away to Juventus, this has proven to be anything but the case in the ensuing decade.

Inter have managed to draw three of their last ten Serie A matches away against the Bianconeri with Handanovic in goal, losing the other seven.

The Nerazzurri can hardly afford a loss tomorrow evening, and even a draw might not be enough for them in the context of the Scudetto race, so Handanovic will be hoping that he and his teammates can pull off a result that has proven to be a collector’s item for him.
