Italian journalist Fabrizio Biasin has said that it is correct that Antonio Conte has been awarded the Golden Bench award, according to a report in the Italian broadcast media.

Speaking whilst on the radio show Tutto Convocati, via FCInter1908, Fabrizio Biasin discussed the fact that Antonio Conte has been awarded his fourth Golden Bench award by the FIGC for the Scudetto he won with Inter last season.

The journalist feels that it is completely necessary for the now Tottenham Hotspur coach to be given the award given he won the title with an Inter team that had not done so since 2010 under Jose Mourinho.

“The victory of the golden bench is a must: he returned to Italy and won the Scudetto with a team that hadn’t won it in a lifetime. Among other things, he did it by dominating the championship. So, it seems quite right that he won.”

The Golden Bench award is voted on by a jury of peers and Antonio Conte has now been awarded his fourth one, equalling the record set by current Juventus boss Max Allegri.

It is rumoured that Antonio Conte could soon be on the move after not settling in at Tottenham Hotspur.
