Former Inter head coach Marco Tardelli feels that the form table favours Juventus over Inter ahead of this evening’s Serie A clash between the pair.

Speaking to Milan-based newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport in an interview published in today’s print edition, he contrasted the two teams’ form and named Paulo Dybala and Marcelo Brozovic respectively as key men for them.

The Nerazzurri had been enduring their most negative spell of the entire season in the weeks leading into the international break, whilst the Bianconeri had finally found the consistency which had eluded them over the first half of the campaign.

Now, Inter travel to Turin in search of three vital points in the Scudetto race, and they face a team who have not lost in some time.

The Nerazzurri could well have used the international break to rediscover their best form, but Tardelli feels that it will still be the contrasting form from before the break which proves telling this evening.

“The form of the two teams speaks for itself,” he said. “If we  look at the condition they’re in, especially from the psychological side of things, I say Juve are favourites.”

He characterized the Bianconeri as “A growing team, while Inter are experiencing a period of difficulty.”

Regarding possibly decisive players, Tardelli predicted that “Dybala is a key man for the Bianconeri – he can make the single play which shifts the balance.”

“Among the Nerazzurri players, on the other hand, I say Brozovic,” he continued, “when the Croat is absent, you see a very different Inter. And this probably because of his unique qualities.”
