Former Inter, Lazio, Parma, and Chelsea striker Hernan Crespo feels that current Nerazzurri man Lautaro Martinez can be decisive for his team against Juventus this evening.

Speaking to Milan-based newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport in an interview published in today’s print edition, the 46-year-old named Inter as favourites in this evening’s match and compared Martinez to fellow Argentine Paulo Dybala.

Inter will know well that this evening’s match could be settled by just one goal, and that each moment and chance has the potential to be decisive.

Martinez is all but certain to start, and is the player with the highest probability of being on the end of key chances in the eleven, so he could be the man that Inter rely upon to seal three points.

Crespo believes that the 24-year-old has the right qualities to get himself on the end of big chances and shift the game in favour of the Nerazzurri.

Speaking about Argentine duo Martinez and Dybala on either side, he said that “Paulo will want to show that a player like him deserved an extension, while I see very few strikers in the world who can finish in the box like Il Toro.”

“He has a nose for an important goal,” he went on, “which is what it takes to solve big matches like this.”

“Inter have greater overall quality and therefore are the favourites for me,” Crespo predicted. “Not to mention that considering their poor recent form, they’ll have more anger in them.”

“There was time for them to study where they went wrong and find the necessary counter-measures for their most important match left,” he added.
