Ivan Perisic will start on the left for Inter in this evening’s Serie A clash with Juventus, with Robin Gosens taking a spot on the bench.

This according to today’s print edition of Rome-based newspaper Corriere dello Sport, who report that coach Simone Inzaghi will continue to trust Perisic with the start despite Gosens being fit.

Perisic has been one of the Nerazzurri’s standout performers this campaign, but the club nevertheless decided to seize on the opportunity to sign Gosens to reinforce the position and to act as the Croat’s long-term successor.

Now, the 27-year-old is fully fit after having missed his first month at Inter through injury, and it is likely that he will have his contribution to make during the run-in of the season, including getting starts.

However, the German will have to wait for his first start for at least one more match, with Perisic likely to be turned to in the starting eleven against the Bianconeri.

Meanwhile, the Corriere also report that Denzel Dumfries is the favourite to start on the opposite flank ahead of Matteo Darmian.
