Inter President Steven Zhang and head coach Simone Inzaghi have a very strong relationship of mutual trust.

This according to today’s print edition of Rome-based newspaper Corriere dello Sport, who report that the pair get along well and that they share a common philosophy for the team.

Inzaghi was brought in with the full approval of Zhang last summer to replace Antonio Conte after the latter’s abrupt departure.

The coach was the choice of the directors as well, who felt that he was the right man to guide the team through a period in which they would have to grow on the pitch while also respecting financial restrictions.

So far, the former Lazio boss has managed to do exactly this, with the team pushing for the Scudetto and the Coppa Italia in the latter stages of the season having also won the Supercoppa Italiana and reached the knockout rounds of the Champions League.

Zhang is completely satisfied with what has been achieved on a sporting level, and on a personal level he also communicates well with Inzaghi and is ready to head into the future side by side with the coach.
