Inter striker Lautaro Martinez will be suspended for the Nerazzurri’s Serie A clash with Hellas Verona over the weekend due to an accumulation of yellow cards.

This is confirmed by the Italian sporting authority, via FCInterNews, who name the Argentine as one of the players in Serie A who will miss the weekend’s action through suspension.

Martinez picked up a yellow card early on in the Nerazzurri’s 1-0 win over Juventus on Sunday evening, and this was the 24-year-old’s fifth yellow card in Serie A this season.

Accordingly, he will miss out on the next match through suspension, with the one-match ban just covering the match against the Gialloblu, and he will be able to return to action after.

Meanwhile, Ivan Perisic picked up a booking in the match against the Bianconeri, which was his fourth of the campaign, and this means that he is officially now one yellow card away from suspension.
