Inter’s Serie A clash with Hellas Verona on Saturday evening is set to have more than 50,000 spectators in attendance.

This according to Italian news outlet FCInterNews, who report that yesterday over six thousand tickets were sold for the match, and that the total amount should be well in excess of 50,000.

Stadiums in Italy are finally open to full capacity as of the start of this month, with the government having lifted all capacity restrictions.

The restrictions had been 75% last month, having been gradually increased over the course of the season with the exception of capacities in all stadiums having been temporarily limited to five thousand during the spike in COVID cases caused by the Omicron wave.

The Nerazzurri will play their first game in front of their home fans without capacity restrictions since the beginning of the pandemic when they host the Gialloblu, having played Juventus in front of a packed Allianz Stadium on Sunday.
