Inter could take their 1-0 win over Juventus in Serie A on Sunday and run with it as they look to put their bad form going into the international break behind them.

This according to today’s print edition of Milan-based newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport, who report that the team will hope that the vital win can be the moment that reverses the course started with their loss to AC Milan in February.

Inter lost in the Milan derby at the beginning of February, with the match having seemed to have kicked off a miserable sequence for them.

The Nerazzurri had looked in control, 1-0 up and temporarily ten points ahead of their city rivals in the table and in firm control of the Scudetto race.

However, a quickfire second half brace by Olivier Giroud saw the Rossoneri come back into it and go onto win the match 2-1.

Things only got worse from there, with the Nerazzurri managing to pick up just seven points in the next six matches until the end of March, relinquishing all control they had in the title race to have to chase Milan and Napoli.

However, with their win over the Bianconeri on Sunday, Inter have proved to make up ground on their city rivals who dropped points against Bologna, and going forward they will feel that the momentum has now shifted.
