Chelsea striker Romelu Lukaku is pushing for a move back to Inter in the summer, speaking with former teammates via messages, phone calls, and even video calls.

This according to today’s print edition of Milan-based newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport, who report that the Belgian would be willing to take a significant cut to his salary to make the switch happen, and that he would be welcome back by former teammates.

Lukaku has been open about the fact that he is not happy with his situation in London after his blockbuster sale last summer.

Meanwhile, Belgian national team coach Roberto Martinez is also pushing for his key players to find clubs where they are guaranteed playing time ahead of the World Cup.

A move back to Inter would be difficult, but looks like more of a possibility than it initially had, with Chelsea potentially ready to work out a paid loan.

The Nerazzurri are considering the possibility of signing Lukaku back, and this would not necessarily conflict with their plans to move for Paulo Dybala on a free transfer.
