Inter defender Stefan de Vrij has won a court case for compensation worth €4.7 million from his former agency Sports Entertainment Group regarding his transfer to Inter from Lazio.

This according to Dutch news outlet Voetbal International, who report that the 30-year-old won his case over the commission that the agency collected when he moved to the Nerazzurri on a free transfer in the summer of 2018.

De Vrij made the move to Inter in 2018 on a free transfer, but the Nerazzurri paid an agents’ fee of €7.5 million to SEG as part of the process of completing the deal.

The defender argued that the size of the fee received by SEG will have affected the offer that the Nerazzurri made to him wrongly, and he sought a compensation of €10 million in his case against the agency.

An Amsterdam court has sided with the Dutchman, and ordered SEG to pay de Vrij a total of €4.7 million in compensation.
