Inter’s Coppa Italia semi-final second leg against AC Milan on April 19 could well prove to be a decisive moment in the Serie A title race.

This according to today’s print edition of Milan-based newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport, who suggest that the boost and momentum that either side could get from the match could well be the difference.

Inter do not face any of their direct rivals for the Scudetto in their remaining Serie A matches of the season, having gotten their head-to-head clashes against Milan and Napoli out of the way.

However, they have a massive Coppa Italia clash with the Rossoneri match in less than two weeks’ time, and it could be the moment that gives one of the two teams a lift as they prepare to make one last big push.

The knockout clash is very finely-balanced with the first leg having finished in a goalless draw, while the title race is similarly tight with the Nerazzurri just a point behind their city rivals should they win their game in hand.
