Inter could capitalize on the fact that Juventus forward Paulo Dybala is aiming to remain in Serie A when he leaves his current club on a free transfer this summer.

This according to Itlaian journalist Gianni Balzarini, who reported on his YouTube channel, via FCInter1908, that the 28-year-old wants to stay in Italy and would consider the Nerazzurri a viable destination.

Dybala’s future is very much to be decided, though a continued stay in Italy could appeal to the forward should it mean uprooting himself less than a move to another league would.

Should the Argentine prioritize staying in Italy, then the Nerazzurri would likely be the favourites to sign him, although he could also decide on a move to another top Italian club should an offer come forward.

The Nerazzurri have yet to take any concrete steps towards signing Dybala, but they will feel that as long as he prefers staying in Serie A they could have an important advantage in the race to sign him.

“Maybe next season Inter will have another top forward in the form of Dybala,” Balzarini said. “The contacts are there, there already been been some and there still are.”

He went on that “Dybala wouldn’t mind staying in Italy. Milan is a very beautiful city, you live very well. Inter will fight every season for major honours and it’s likely that a player will be attracted to move only an hour and a quarter from Turin, and try to win in Milan.”
