Inter find themselves in a very tight title race at the top of Serie A, and part of the reason is that neither they nor their rivals are without significance weaknesses.

This according to today’s print edition of Milan-based newspaper Corriere della Sera, who argue that no clear favourite has emerged for the Scudetto at this stage because none of the three teams at the top are a complete team.

Over the weekend, Inter beat Juventus and Napoli beat Atalanta while AC Milan stumbled against Bologna to bring the trio at the top of the Serie A closer together than ever.

This highlighted the unpredictability of the title race as none of the teams look to be capable of making the decisive break from the pack.

Inter put a miserable run of form which saw them take just seven points from seven matches behind them by winning away to Juventus, but for the Corriere della Sera the nature of the win was not too convincing.

The Nerazzurri’s strikers struggled to have a real impact in the final third, whilst the likes of Nicolo Barella and Hakan Calhanoglu also looked far from being able to make the attacking contribution that they had earlier in the campaign.

Paradoxically, Inter are the team who have scored the highest number of goals in Serie A, but also look to lack the firepower to easily go on and in the matches they need to in order to clinch the title.

Meanwhile, the Rossoneri’s goalless draw with Bologna was far from their first surprise poor result this campaign, and the Partenopei as well look prone to these sorts of lapses.

All three teams at the top of the Serie A table will feel that they have the opportunity to win the title in the coming weeks, but at the same time, it remains to be seen whether any have the necessary quality.
