Inter and AC Milan are prepared to build their new stadium in a different part of Milan if necessary, according to a report in the Italian print media today.

As has been reported by La Gazzetta dello Sport today, Inter CEO Alessandro Antonello and AC Milan President Paolo Scaroni have agreed that they will take the new stadium elsewhere if the project continues to be slowed down by the authorities.

When the Cathedral design by Populous was chosen before Christmas it seemed that real progress towards the new stadium was being made. Multiple bureaucratic steps such the public debate which has to be financed and have new projects presented mean the clubs are growing impatient.

Keeping the stadium in San Siro is still Plan A but the clubs are certainly willing to take it to another area of Milan or even just outside the Municipality of Milan. Sesto San Giovanni is a possible location.
