Inter defender Stefan de Vrij has said his legal victory today is a great win for him but now he will focus on the Scudetto fight with Inter, according to a report in the Italian media.
Speaking after the hearing through a letter published by his representatives, via FCInternews, Stefan de Vrij explained how much it meant to him to be awarded damages by his former agent.
“This is a great victory for me on a personal level.”
Stefan de Vrij took legal action against Sports Entertainment Group after they withheld information from him during his move from Lazio to Inter in 2018. He has now been awarded €4.75 million in damages by a court in Amsterdam.
The Inter defender had some words of advice for his fellow footballers who could easily find themselves in a similar situation where agents profit from a player without them knowing.
“I’ll give a message to my colleagues: make sure you are always in control of your career and only be assisted by independent agents who work just for you.”
He then made it clear that all of his attention is now on the Scudetto fight with Inter.
“Now I will focus on the championship fight with Inter.”
