Inter defender Milan Skriniar is one of the players that President Steven Zhang admires the most at the club, according to a report in the Italian media today.

As has been reported by La Gazzetta dello Sport, Steven Zhang is very appreciative of the performances that Milan Skriniar has put in for the team this season and that is partly why he will be offered a new contract at the club soon.

It is not thought that concrete discussions will take place until the end of the season as all attention is now on the Serie A title race.

The new deal will likely see the Slovakian earn €4.5 million per season with that fee rising to above €5 million in later years. It will run until 2026, like the contract that Nicolo Barella was offered earlier this summer and signed.

It is hoped that this new contract will fend off any interest in him from Premier League teams.
