Inter defender Stefan de Vrij’s former agency Sports Entertainment Group are planning to appeal the €4.7 million compensation that they were ordered to pay the player.

This according to Dutch news outlet NOS.nl, who report that the agency believe that the judgment by an Amsterdam court is wrong and that they did not behave improperly regarding the player’s move to Inter from Lazio.

The judgment today sided with de Vrij whose case was that SEG had misrepresented aspects of his move to the Nerazzurri from Lazio during the summer of 2018 on a free transfer in order to enrich themselves.

SEG were ordered to pay the 30-year-old compensation over the deal, but they plan to try to overturn the decision.

According to representatives from the agency, they did not fail to properly inform de Vrij regarding the finances involved in the deal, and the player was not deprived of any potential earnings.
