Around 55,000 fans are expected to be in attendance at San Siro when Inter take on Hellas Verona on Saturday evening, according to a report in the Italian media.

As has been reported by La Gazzetta dello Sport, there was an increase in ticket sales for the game once Inter had beaten Juventus on Sunday night and AC Milan had drawn to Bologna on the Monday night. 7000 tickets were sold in the period immediately following those two Serie A games.

The renewed hope of winning the Serie A title has boosted attendances and now 55,000 are confirmed for Saturday with it possibly rising to 60,000.

As for other games this month 65,000 tickets have already been sold for the Coppa Italia semi-final second leg against AC Milan on April 19. Only seats in the third rings remain for what will be the first 100% capacity Derby della Madonnina since the beginning of the Covid-19 pandemic in February 2020.
