Azerbaijan head coach Gianni De Biasi has said that Inter’s victory over Juventus last week will help them at this stage of the Serie A season, according to a report in the Italian broadcast media.
Speaking during an interview with TMW Radio, via FCInter1908, Gianni De Biasi explained that even though Juventus were the better team during the match last Sunday, it was Inter who got the 1-0 win and that will be highly beneficial for their self-esteem.
“In terms of play, Juventus should have won but they didn’t and with great effort, Inter took home the result. It will help them at this moment of the season. It gives them rediscovered self-esteem.”
The man who was once on Inter’s books as a player but never made an appearance then talked about how excellent the Serie A title race is this season between Inter, Napoli and AC Milan.
“We are talking about a beautiful championship, which will be played between the top three. In addition to Inter there is Napoli who play well and Milan who are still first.”
Inter’s win over Juventus was vitally important for their Scudetto hopes as defeat would have almost certainly been fatal.
The result took on even more importance when AC Milan drew 0-0 with Bologna at San Siro on the following night.
