Former AS Roma midfielder Stefano Impallomeni has said that Romelu Lukaku moving to Inter this summer is not an impossible operation for the Nerazzurri to complete, according to a report in the Italian broadcast media.

Speaking during an interview with TMW Radio, via FCInter1908, Stefano Impallomeni explained that the finances involved to bring Romelu Lukaku back to Inter from Chelsea not be impossible to work out.

“I think by eliminating 2-3 major engagements, I don’t think it’s an impossible operation.”

He also added that whilst it was a different Inter team that Romelu Lukaku was a part of before, he still thinks he would be good in this one.

“Lukaku had an incredible connection with Conte, but I would see him well in this Inter.”

It is unlikely that Romelu Lukaku would return to Inter this summer as much as he clearly wants to because Chelsea would have to sanction a deal that makes little financial sense for them.

Inter can’t afford to buy him outright so it would have to be a loan but the salary would need to be heavily compensated by Chelsea.
