Inter goalkeeper Samir Handanovic will sign a two-year deal at the club soon and help Andre Onana settle into his role as number one, according to a report in the Italian media today.

As has been reported by La Gazzetta dello Sport today, the Slovenian goalkeeper has decided that he is happy to stay at the club beyond the end of this season.

He will sign a deal that keeps him at the club until 2024 which would mean he has been with the Nerazzurri for 12 years.

He currently earns €3.2 million per season but that salary will be reduced given his role at the club will be diminishing. He is going to oversee Andre Onana’s arrival at the club when he joins on a free transfer from Ajax in the summer.

The number one slot will likely go to whichever goalkeeper shows the best form in the early part of the season but Inter will hope that their new signing can hit the ground running.
