The severance pay that Inter would need to pay Arturo Vidal and Alexis Sanchez to break their contracts is less than Inter initially expected, according to a report in the Italian media today.

As has been reported by Corriere della Sera today, Inter were under the impression that they would need to pay each player €4 million in order to break their contracts which have a year left on them.

It turns out that the fee is actually €3 million each which is not a major difference but when it comes to Inter’s pursuit of Juventus forward Paulo Dybala, it all helps.

By breaking those contracts Inter can raise €20 million gross for the wage budget. They can then afford to give Paulo Dybala a salary of €7.5 million which may be enough to lure him to the San Siro.

Arturo Vidal and Alexis Sanchez are the two highest earners at Inter but the club want to change that.
