Inter head coach Simone Inzaghi feels that the team can get a boost from the return of Stefan de Vrij to the starting eleven as well as from forward Joaquin Correa.

Speaking to Italian broadcaster DAZN ahead of this evening’s Serie A clash with Hellas Verona, the coach stressed that this will be another hugely difficult match for the team and also highlighted the opportunity for Joaquin Correa in attack.

Last time Inter faced the Gialloblu it was on the second matchday of the season, and they needed a second-half comeback to take three points in a match which was a struggle for them despite the 3-1 final scoreline.

Now, the Nerazzurri are entering the final stretch of the season, and they do so with the confidence of beaten Juventus in the Derby D’Italia away last Sunday, but also knowing that there work is far from over.

“Without a doubt, we needed a win against an opponent who’re very strong,” he said of beating the Biacnoneri. “Today is a difficult game that we will have to approach well from the start.”

Of the return of Stefan de Vrij to the team, he said that “We all know how important he is for us, but we’ve done without him like we have for a lot of players.”

“The individuals don’t concern me,” he added, “I’m interested in the team, who have to play matches in the right way.”

And of Correa, starting in place of the suspended Lautaro Martinez, he said that “He’s a player I know very well, when he hasn’t had injury problems he’s given us extra quality.”

“The two injuries have slowed him down, now he’s fine and today he has a great opportunity,” he added.
