Inter defender Danilo D’Ambrosio feels that the key to taking three points from this evening’s Serie A clash with Hellas Verona will be staying focused all over the pitch.

Speaking to Italian broadcaster DAZN ahead of the match, the 33-year-old emphasized concentrating throughout the match against an opponent who will try to punish every small mistake.

The Gialloblu have already gotten some significant wins against top sides in Serie A this season, including Juventus and Roma.

They have shown that they can give any team a difficult match regardless of quality on paper, including having given the Nerazzurri a hard time despite the eventual 3-1 win in the second match of the season.

Now, Verona travel to the San Siro, and Inter will have to be at their best to keep the momentum going from last weekend’s win over Juventus, against a side who are physical and tactically sophisticated.

“Against Verona you need to keep your concentration and show desire to win duels in all areas of the pitch,” D’Ambrosio said. “They apply a lot of pressure and it will be tough.”
