Both Edin Dzeko and Joaquin Correa will be aiming to show that they can be decisive in front of goal in this evening’s Serie A clash for Inter against Hellas Verona.

This according to today’s print edition of Rome-based newspaper, who suggest that the two forwards will be looking to justify their probable selections in the starting eleven by breaking their personal goal droughts.

Dzeko had gotten off to a fast start to the season in terms of goals, but during the second half of the campaign things have dried up a bit for him.

The 36-year-old scored a brace to seal the Nerazzurri’s 5-0 win against Salernitana last month, but has not been able to find the back of the net either side of the match.

The Bosnian will be aiming to finish the season more the way he started it, chipping in with decisive goals when called upon, and he will look to start against the Gialloblu.

Meanwhile, Correa has not yet lived up to the expectations of being the Nerazzurri’s most expensive summer signing, with injuries and some indifferent form preventing him from making a significant contribution in attack.

The Argentine’s debut for Inter came off the bench barely 24 hours after being signed, against this evening’s opposition on the second day of the season, and he scored a brace to win 3-1 in the reverse fixture.

Correa’s only other goals in Nerazzurri colours came in the form of another match-winning brace, in a 2-0 victory over Udinese, and he will be hoping that he can get back to impacting matches in this way during the run-in.
