Inter sent a scout to the Udinese vs Cagliari match last weekend to watch the performance of Jean-Victor Makengo whom the Nerazzurri are interested in, according to a report in the Italian media.

As has been reported by FCInternews, the French midfielder is a player that Inter think could make a difference to their midfield depth next season and can act as a replacement for the likes of Matias Vecino and Arturo Vidal.

The 23-year-old played a key role in Udinese’s emphatic 5-1 victory, a game where Portuguese forward Beto scored the first Udinese hat-trick since 2013/14 when Antonio Di Natale did it.

Jean-Victor Makengo is a dynamic runner with excellent technique when on the ball. He has made 25 Serie A appearances for Udinese this season and is part of the reason they can consider themselves relatively safe when it comes to the Serie A relegation battle which they were at risk of getting dragged into.
