Italian journalist Paolo Condo feels that Inter looked energized and physically in fine form in their 2-0 Serie A win over Hellas Verona yesterday evening.
Speaking to Italian broadcaster Sky Sport Italia, Condo highlighted the clear physical condition shown by the team to put the Gialloblu to the sword during the first half of the match.
Inter had fallen off in terms of their intensity during their run of bad form in February and March, particularly in the manner with which they started matches against high-pressing opposition.
Even against Juventus last weekend, the Nerazzurri showed their defensive quality to secure three massive points, but it was a display of grit and compactness where they looked at times to be comprehensively overrun.
In their win over Verona yesterday evening, however, Inter looked dominant on an athletic level once again to make life difficult for a Gialloblu side who have shown that they can give anyone in Serie A a tough and physical match.
“Before this match, the impression I got was that Inter were a little tired,” Condo said after the match, “whereas today I saw an Inter who looked fully physically fit.”
