Inter wingback Ivan Perisic was the standout player in his team’s 2-0 Serie A win over Hellas Verona yesterday evening, in the view of Italian media.

The 33-year-old received a 7.5/10 score in the player ratings for the match published in today’s print edition of Milan-based newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport, who named him as the man of the match.

Perisic delivered two pinpoint assists to ensure that the team made good on their first-half dominance over the Gialloblu, while his tireless running was on full display both at wingback and when he switched to playing second striker.

Meanwhile, the likes of Nicolo Barella, Marcelo Brozovic, and Edin Dzeko were also given excellent reviews and 7.5/10 grades for their displays, while coach Simone Inzaghi received the same score for how he set his team up.

No Inter player received anything close to a failing grade for what was in the end a completely satisfying and stress-free evening for the team.
