Inter gave a clear indication that they are back to their best form in time for the crucial final stages of the Serie A season with their 2-0 win over Hellas Verona yesterday evening.

This according to today’s print edition of Milan-based newspaper Corriere della Sera, who suggest that the “Tornado Inter” which overwhelmed the Gialloblu in the first half send a message to the rest of Serie A.

Inter needed to be physically and technically intense and polished to see off a Verona team who have shown throughout the campaign that they can punish errors or laxity from any team in Serie A.

During the first half in particular, the Nerazzurri were exactly this, allowing their opponents just a solitary shot attempt whilst bombarding the Gialloblu’s penalty area and deserving a 2-0 halftime lead.

This was a signal that Inter are ready to play the way that they did during their eight-match winning run earlier on in the season again, and that their poor form from February and March is in the rear-view mirror.
