Former Inter defender Daniele Adani believes that the Nerazzurri’s win away to Juventus last weekend was the moment where the team got back into Serie A title contention.
Speaking on Christian Vieri’s Twitch channel, as reported by FCInterNews, Adani gave the view that the win over the Bianconeri is what got the Nerazzurri back into their groove.
Inter needed an injection of confidence and energy coming back from the international break given their slump in form in the weeks leading into the break.
The away trip to Turin was a chance to get exactly this kind of boost, but it was also a potential major pitfall given that it was always likely to be one of their toughest matches of the season.
In the end, Inter got a gritty win to reassert themselves, and now they look to be back in the driver’s seat at the top of Serie A after another positive weekend.
“Inter had drifted a bit, but then got back on track thanks to their match against Juve in Turn even though the win wasn’t deserved,” Adani said.
He went on that “Napoli are losing ground by their own fault. Milan are in an overall period of decline.”
