Former Inter defender Daniele Adani feels that the Nerazzurri are back on track to fight for the Scudetto once again.

Speaking to Italian broadcaster RAI Radio, Adani have his reaction to Inter’s 2-0 win over Hellas Verona in Serie A, and suggested that the team have their confidence back as well as being stylistically back to looking their best.

The Nerazzurri’s title hopes were dealt a series of blows during their run of poor form between February and March, where they won only once in the league and rarely looked like a totally convincing version of themselves.

However, the team have given a response already by winning their first two matches back from the international break, while the nature of their performance to beat the Gialloblu was especially impressive.

Inter came up against a team who have caused virtually everyone in Serie A problems, including the Nerazzurri themselves in the reverse fixture, and made the three points and the clean sheet look straightforward.

“Inter have found the win but they’ve also found their game again because the match they won in Turin gave enthusiasm,” Adani said.

“This gave Inzaghi’s team the opportunity to find patterns of play, solutions, and rhythm,” he went on. “In my opinion, they had it in the first half in the derby, but then the scoreline was upended and and they began their descent.”

“Yesterday they also controlled the first half, and in the second they conceded the initiative to a Verona who was still in good shape,” he added. “They deserved the victory win forcefully reasserted their title credentials.”
