Ex-Nerazzurri Striker Antonio Cassano: “Inter’s Fate In Their Own Hands, AC Milan Their Only Real Rivals”

Legendary former Inter, Roma, and Real Madrid forward Antonio Cassano feels that now the Nerazzurri can feel comfortable in their position at the top of Serie A.

Speaking on Christian Vieri’s Twitch channel, as reported by FCInterNews, Cassano emphasized that the Nerazzurri have control of their own destiny in the title race and AC Milan as the only team who can push them.

Inter had a nearly perfect weekend in Serie A, doing their bit by Hellas Verona before seeing Napoli lose to Fiorentina and Milan draw with Torino.

Now, the Nerazzurri are level with the Partenopei and just two points behind the Rossoneri, but with a crucial game in hand on the way.

This means that Inter are guaranteed to win the title if they manage to win all their remaining matches, and even if they do not, just have to drop no fewer points than the Rossoneri do.

“Inter have their fate in their own hands,” Cassano said. “After yesterday’s stumble I consider Napoli to be out of the race and Milan their only real rival.”

“Inter have no really tough matches,” he added, “if the team is strong, then they can play against these teams and win.”
