Inter could find it difficult to sign Torino defender Bremer during the summer transfer window given the rising competition and potential transfer fee that the highly-rated defender is attracting.

This according to today’s print edition of Turin-based newspaper La Stampa, who report that more than ever there is significant transfer interest in the 24-year-old and not just from the Nerazzurri.

Bremer has been one of the standout defenders in Serie A this season, with his sharp display at the back against AC Milan to help the Granata to a clean sheet only the latest in a string of top-class performances.

The Brazilian has shown that he is up to the task of restricting the influence of top strikers like Dusan Valhovic, Victor Osimhen, Tammy Abraham, Ciro Immobile, Edin Dzeko, and last night hardly put a foot wrong against Olivier Giroud and Rafael Leao.

Bremer has long been marked out as one of the Nerazzurri’s priority targets for the summer, and their preferred replacement for Stefan de Vrij should the Dutchman be sold.

However, winning the race for the Brazilian could be tricky given that his performances are attracting serious transfer interest from at least half a dozen major clubs in Serie A and abroad.

Moreover, while the Granata will have valued Bremer at around €20 million last summer, the step up that he’s taken has potentially doubled this amount.

The Nerazzurri remain as adamant as ever about wanting to sign Bremer, but getting a deal done for him will not be easy.
