Inter are aiming to sign Empoli defender Mattia Viti during the summer transfer window, and then send him back out on loan for a season to develop.

This according to today’s print edition of Rome-based newspaper La Repubblica, who report that the Nerazzurri already made an offer for the 20-year-old in January and will return to battle Juventus, AC Milan, and Roma for his signature.

Viti is considered a top prospect in his position within the Italian game, and the Nerazzurri are strongly interested in bringing him in for the future.

They already made Empoli and offer worth €13 million plus add-ons during the January transfer window, but had it turned out.

However, Inter’s interest in Viti remains strong, and they have a clear idea on signing him and then sending him out on loan for next season so that he can receive regular playing time and grow in the senior game.

Signing the defender will not be easy, however, with the Bianconeri, the Rossoneri, and the Giallorossi all also interested in bringing him in.
